RESEARCH INTERESTS

​

I am interested in microbial ecology in streams and rivers.

My research includes these topics;

​

1. Microbial community composition and function linking to resource variability

2. Ecological functions of microbial community in surface/hyporheic sediments

3. Microbial interactions in stream biofilms

​

I study microbial, especially fungal, community structure and functions in stream biofilms using field observations, DNA analysis, and incubation experiments.
